Opacity- the proportion of the light that is absorbed by the emulsion on any given area of a film or plate.
Magic Wand- any seemingly magical solution to a difficult problem.
Clipping Mask- let you use the content of a layer to mask the layers above it.
Flyout Menu- a second window that appears to the when you click a menu item.
Layer Palette- displays all the individual layers within an active image. You can use the layer panel to create, delete, merge, copy or reposition.
Filter- used to alter the look of an image and give it special, customized appearance by applying special effects, such as distortions, changes in lighting and blurring.
Quick Select- tool that lets you paint a selection from the interior using a brush tip, reducing the tough edges and blockiness.
Levels- Levels is a tool in Photoshop and other image editing program which can move and stretch the brightness levels of an image histogram.
Flattening- Merges all visible layers into one layer, named the Background layer, and deletes all hidden layers, greatly reducing file size.
PSD- File extension for Photoshop Document.
JPG- is a commonly used method of lossy compression for digital photography.
